Giant (1956): soooo long. the story reminds me of Fiddler on the Roof, just set in Texas. for how long it was, you would think that something huge happens at the end like everyone dies or the world blows up or something. instead its kinda just boring. it was interesting to see a movie that chronicles an entire person's life, but most people's lives are kinda ordinary, so no one wants to hear about it. this was no exception. all the acting was good, but it was just too drawn out. don't see it.
spent the weekend up in park city for our anniversary and let me tell you how freaking amazing that little town is!!! i've never been there but i think i found 1 of like 4 reasons why anyone would ever want to live in utah. it was so gorgeous up there. so, when i'm rich and famous, i might have to consider owning a home here. went on the alpine slide, sweet mexican dinner, and rocky mountain chocolate to top it off. the place we stayed was freaking nice as could be. even had a hot tub in the bedroom. the whole trip got me so stoked for snowboarding, even more so than before. i have no clue how i'm gonna be able to afford it, so donations would be greatly appreciated.
not much else is really new. got some fancy dancy new dvds though. got return of the king and bridget jones' diary. mom was in the state as well for the weekend, so we took her up to sundance yesterday. went up the ski lift and got some very nice pictures of the area. mountains are perfect this time of year. but right now i'm not on a mountain. i'm in a 20 x 15 foot room at utah valley state college doing homework. bad times, bad oldies.
